Founded in 2020, Loopy is a small business specializing in laser cutting and engraving on wood and paper, located in Maine-et-Loire (49). My creations are unique and inspired.
Below is a list of the different types of wood I use. This wood comes from sustainably managed forests ( PEFC certified ) in France and Europe. The paper is 100% recycled and made in France, or sourced from recycled materials.

Often planted near waterways, in rows, or as windbreaks, these trees are widespread in France. Poplars can reach a height of 30 meters and have a short lifespan (reaching maturity at just 20 to 30 years).
It is a soft wood.
Color: greyish-white.
The second most common French hardwood species (after oak), the beech is abundant in the northern half of France. It is a tall tree (40 meters). Its lifespan ranges from 80 to 100 years.
Beech is a hard wood.
Color: creamy white to pinkish.
Native to the Middle East, this tree can reach a height of 25 meters. It is ready for harvesting between the ages of 50 and 60.
It is a medium-hard wood.
Color: pale pink to light reddish, taking on a golden hue after exposure to light.
Sycamore maples are found throughout the northern half of France. They are large trees (30 meters tall). Their harvesting age is around 80 years.
It is a medium-hard wood.
Color: creamy white, sometimes very pale yellow.
Plane trees adorn the squares and streets of France. They are large trees (25 to 55 meters tall). They have a very long lifespan (several hundred years).
It is a medium-hard wood.
Color: light pinkish-brown, with numerous reddish-brown flecks.
